Our Story

We are graphic designers and parents of two young children. While we recognized the immense benefits puzzles offer for a child’s creative development, we were often dissatisfied with the quality of products available on the market. Driven by a desire to create high-quality toys for children and puzzle enthusiasts alike, we designed our initial puzzle models, commissioned their production from a reputable manufacturer, and began selling them on e-commerce platforms.

In 2025, our engaging puzzle sets were well-received by customers on online marketplaces; however, we harbored a bigger vision for these products. This ambition led us to close our small shop on those online marketplaces and launch Zoenus, an online shop specializing in wooden puzzles, based in Chico, California. Zoenus is a new brand launching in 2026. Through Zoenus, we are able to offer our products directly to customers across the United States and other destinations where we ship, while building and growing our brand through our own sales, marketing, and customer service. We hope that our customers will always love Zoenus’s puzzles, and send us suggestions on products and services to help Zoenus do well in the future.

The precision-cut wooden pieces fit together smoothly, while unique shapes and interesting illustrations make every puzzle both engaging to assemble and enjoyable to display after completion.

Zoenus operates as an online-only store, with offices in Chico, California. Our products are manufactured by reputable facilities under strict specifications regarding raw materials, such as wood and ink, and machinery standards to ensure the desired output quality. They are then stocked at Zoenus’s warehouse and delivered to customers via popular shipping partners. This operational model enables us to specialize and focus on our core strengths, such as product research and improvement, as well as marketing and promotion, while collaborating to produce high-quality products at reasonable prices and maintaining a simple, efficient sales process.

We aim to continue growing the Zoenus brand while expanding our reach to serve customers in more regions, making our wooden puzzles accessible to puzzle lovers around the world.
